Maoge PTT Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 14, 2026
Maoge PTT is a private push-to-talk app for small groups. This policy explains what information the app uses and how it is handled.
Information We Collect
- Nickname entered by the user.
- A random device identifier and authentication token used to keep the device signed in.
- Subscription status, group membership, group names, invite usage, and owner/member roles.
- A signed App Store subscription transaction used to verify access. The service stores the subscription expiration date and a one-way hash of the original transaction identifier. We do not receive or store payment card details.
- Push notification tokens required for Push-to-Talk delivery on iPhone and iPad.
- Connection, delivery, and error metadata needed to operate and troubleshoot the service.
Microphone and Voice
The app uses the microphone only when the user presses and holds the talk button or uses the configured Push-to-Talk control. Voice audio is transmitted to the selected group. Voice recordings are not stored on disk by the service. Audio is kept in memory only for short delivery and replay handling, then removed.
How We Use Information
We use this information to authenticate devices, verify subscription access, manage groups, deliver push-to-talk audio, prevent abuse, and diagnose service problems.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may process data through infrastructure providers used to host the service and deliver push notifications.
Account Deletion
Users can delete their account inside the app from Settings. Deletion removes the device identity, group membership, and push token from the service. If the deleting device owns groups, those groups are also removed.
Security
Client connections use HTTPS/WSS. Device tokens are stored securely on the device and only token hashes are stored by the server.
Contact
